Happy Thanksgiving to my south-of-the-border readers! I hope your day of celebrating includes lots of loving family and friends!
I can't believe it's only one month until Christmas! Slowly but surely our plans for the season are coming together. Gathering dates are being set, gifts are secretly stashed on the top shelf of my closet, and decorations are finding their places. It truly is a wonderful time of year!
Earlier this week I enjoyed putting together this simple paper garland while the kids had their quiet time. After seeing this garland linked up to the latest Head to Head Showdown, I knew I wanted to try making my own version.
Kim over at Too Much Time On My Hands put together a great, easy to follow tutorial. I did a couple of things differently, but the basics are the same as hers.
I loved the scalloped ornaments that Kim put together, but I don't have a scalloped punch, so I stuck with what I had on hand and used my small circular punch. This created smaller ornaments for my garland, but they're perfect for my mini tree, or for other small scale projects.
I also added a simple star between each ornament.
This is the perfect project for a crafty evening in front of a movie with a nice warm mug of hot chocolate. What kind of crafty Christmas projects are you working on?
Be blessed,
