Planning for Christmas

Well, with halloween over and done with, naturally my gaze is looking forward to the next big event on the calendar...Christmas!

Oh, for my south of the border readers, us Canadians celebrate Thanksgiving close to the beginning of October.  That way we have time to fully digest the Thanksgiving turkey before we start carving the Christmas Turkey.

I am really looking forward to Christmas this year.  I've got a whole list of fun to-do's and all kinds of plans to bake new treats, try new crafts with the kids, and crack open a can of Christmas spirit in this household!  Watch out y'all!

I've already started on a few Christmas projects, but to help you get into the Christmas mood, I'd like to share a few ideas that I'm planning on attempting this year.

#1. Twisted Felt Garland

I saw this twisted felt garland over on The Purl Bee and knew I wanted to give it a try.  I think this will be a great simple project to do while watching a Christmas-y movie and munching on pop corn.

#2. Pine Cone Wreath

We have an abundance of pine cones, and this is such a lovely way to use them!  I'm quite certain a pine cone wreath inspired by this one from Intimate Weddings will be gracing my font door this Christmas season.

#3. Hand Print Christmas Ornament

I saw This hand print Christmas ornament on Pinterest and thought it would be such a fun activity for me and the kids on do a snowy afternoon.  I know they'll love pressing their hands into the ornament clay, and it'll be too fun to add the snowman details, personalized to their style.

What kind of Christmas fun do you have planned?  Christmas is coming...only 51 days to go!

Be blessed,

Oh, how sweet is that hand print ornament?
I live out in the middle of nowhere and we have a load of pine cones. I'm going to make a few of those pine cone wreaths, too!
